Yes, I guess we're left groping for some definitions, as well as distributions of results (e.g. what percentage moved 1" horizontally vs 3" vs 6", etc). The Muppet Show was a weekly ritual for sure! The Peppa avatar is from my DD's fav episode involving Peppa not being able to whistle. DD would walk around reciting the lines from this phone call scene using her best UK accent and have me on the floor most times.- malletfinger

“Premed track” is possibly a better term. I have doctor friends who were English majors that just also took the prerequisite courses and scored well on the MCATs. Apologies Pattar, didn't mean to cause you grief. I think we all agree on the cost issue, yes. It has become so that the admissions and fin aid offices, other than the coaches, continue to be equally important in whether an athlete can join a college team.- malletfinger

Your point is well taken as the avg need based fin aid numbers are surprisingly high (probably due to their ginormous endowment) and just over half of their students get fin aid. But if you come from an expensive real estate location (e.g. California, NY), it becomes pretty tough to qualify for...- malletfinger
