    Pro glider bat

My DD's team has started using this device. Was there ever a "good" demo produced? If so, please share Thank you

length, size of bats in college

For example, DD swung her 34/27 juggernaut through most of HS. (now pass the beer) Generally swings a Demarini Insane 34". Can turn on 64mph successfully.

    Internal Rotation, Frame by Frame

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5X86nD_WS4 at about 27 seconds shows a great example of both brush assisted and the I/R finish, and the whole video shows most of what you want to see from different angles

    Fear of failure

What is there to be afraid of? Hitting, they take their best swing at the best pitch they get, that is all that can be done. Choose good pitches take their best swing. Results happen or they don't but are out of their control. Same with fielding. Do their best with the ball presented...

    off-speed pitches

DD pushes the ball deeper in her palm (palms the ball) and then just pitches normally. takes 3-5 mph off the pitch

    Weekly Routine for Young Pitcher.

Make sure she is an athlete - cross train, play hard. If you want to do something a little more regimented I would say core work. Planks are great, take very little space and no equipment.

    Pitching Arm Sleeve

Or any kind of light exercise

    Fighting the bowling urge.

What helps with my DD is remembering to keep her posture. As she gets tired (or not motivated) her shoulders will start to come forward. For my DD it is important to keep the shoulders strong (strong core, stomach in, chest out, shoulders back) to get proper "brush" and whip.

    Dilemma or not???

Having gone through similar a couple years ago DD playing 14u at 40' and 16u at 43'. Her experience was that it was actually a harder adjustment hitting than pitching. She didn't have as much movement on her pitches at 40' but had enough control to adjust her CU and RB and still make them...

    Dd finally stung my hand

Just be glad it was your glove and not your shin or the end of your foot, have lost my toenail twice to drops into the end of my toe. And of course praise her and do it again.

    Small Breakthroughs

LOL, there are enough of us from the NW here to start a DFP support group. Help us all remember WE are not the crazy ones with the serious lack of information that is being sold as pitching instruction around here.

    "M" Needs a Change-up

This is exactly what my DD does. LHP. She throws it as a backdoor curve about 45 mph. Starts high and out it gets watched for a called strike most of the time.

Pitching instructors stealing money from parents and kids.

I have watched an instructor coach a kid out of a nice whip and teach lean forward and pull up as hard as possible. The pitchers speed steadily got worse through the whole lesson and the instructor's advice was to just pull up harder. Was very hard to not walk over and say something.

    High School Coaches

I can do you one better. DD was asked to throw BP to the JV team, then asked to not only throw hittable pitches but to slow down so the JV could hit. The coaches intent was to work the varsity fielding but there are many better ways to do this then to have his pitchers practice throwing slow...

New favorite pitcher to watch- Sutherland-Finch from Cal

I know both Katie and her dad. Katie is as she seems, a firecracker and incredibly driven. A great person and role model for anyone wanting to complete at a high level.
