    gillis did the exact same thing during DD's lesson. In fact he had a progression drill called scissor walks instead of straight walkthroughs in order to reinforce the feeling of being slightly over the power line.

    Softball down and in pitch

    12U DD throws two different fastballs. 4 seam runs straight, 2 seam runs straight if she holds the seams but will cut down and in if she moves her index finger closer to the middle finger. It is likely finger pressure but it definitely moves as my ankle bruise can attest.

    I am not a "top level scorer" but I think the ordinary effort part of the rule refers to scoring a hit or error, the same as with no runners on base i.e. a great diving stop but failure to throw out the runner should be scored a hit rather than error on the fielder since it wasn't an ordinary...

    New Glove for 11YO DD

    I just bought my 11YO a Miken EPS Elite Pro Fast Pitch 12.5" EPF125SB for significantly less than that. She loves the glove and it broke in very easily. Can't speak to durability since she has only had it for a couple of months but looks to be holding up very well.
