Straightening arms too soon. Help please!!!!!!

Do not like this product either. Kid in photo lacks tilt.and crunch of the back side. I would try some front arm t work focusing on lead elbow pointed (bent) going up the ramp as a result of rotation (not arm swinging)

    Dipping back knee

2 other things I would consider is having her slightly pigeon toe her back foot and have her freeze after her swing. shes pulling the bat back too fast and missing out on some smoothness and feedback

    Dd's fall swing

Also might work on keeping the hands up, maintaining the box, and staying strong at the wrist. Agree that her seperation and timing could be better..

    head position

I have a kid who's head is tilted down in his stance and as he loads. I think this is causing him to not see the ball well (although he is getting both eyes on ball). How important is it to have a level head for better vision?

does IR produce a bullet spin

Sometimes when DD is pitching the ball spins toward the catchers right. R handed pitcher. Can IR naturally produce a bullet spin?

    rotational hitting: bat path

view softball clips of the best and you will see tilted shoulders at contact and an upercut swing finishing higher. you will also see the hands above the barrell at contact. I think this angled bat makes hitting a ball thats changing planes either up or down easier to hit. It also helps you get...

    12 o'clock

At 12 o'clock cocked wrist or cupped? Facing 3rd or home?
  8. D

    What is IR?

When using IR is ok to cock the wrist at the top of the K (12o'clock) or should it be cupped?

    Cues that work when explained

FFS, in what sequence does this happen and how do you use the pocket cues and any other cues. simplified please. Sorry if this has already been discussed.

    Cues that work when explained

We have been discussing Cues that do not work or that work but need explanation. What cues are the most solid, especially would like to hear more about show your back pocket then show your front. Or any other cues that simplify the sequence of the load/coil stretch.

    "Hands to the ball" help

Agreed. Its amazing how literally they take things, especially at the 8u and 10u level.

    "Hands to the ball" help

Im not sure I like the cue flat hands as they might think of them being flat and level to the ground instead of slightly tilted hands which would keep the hands above the barrell through the zone.

    8u Daughter Batting Help

She looks to be stepping as she is swinging. Have her move her hands slightly back and up as she strides,(ask her if she feels her lower and upper body sererating) but make sure she stays low. I call this the load. when she is fully loaded I like to get them wrist cocked toward catcher and...

    Hands

Ive been advocating this too only because it feels more aggressive, ready to go and efficient. (based solely on feel and viewing clips) (having front shoulder lower than rear at launch)

11 yr old scared of getting hit by pitch...

You also might try laying a bat behind her heels on the ground behind her in practice.
