    My daughter was able to pick up golf very quickly at around that age. As long as she is doing a little of both during each season she should not struggle much jumping from one swing to the next like a lot of people claim.

    Having watched a recent 10u game I would say to your point of youth and adults using the same size field that it would be more effective for 8U, 10u, 12u fields to shrink a little to mimic the adult game than go to 250/275 and 75’. I prefer 210lines and 220 center but that’s just my opinion.

    I do think that may be some of the issue. Some of them are jumping up and out and the arm is getting around well before there can be any front side resistance.

    The head coach of our team and myself have started to work with a couple of the girls on the team in regards to IR.     Absolutely thank you so much for the responses. We are going to contact a couple of the instructors and see what fits best. We have some quality pitchers in our area and I would love to see them all get proper instruction.

    Hillhouse, Thank you for the response. It's actually your videos that started me questioning what was being taught. We do have a facility and at minimum there are at least 4 girls from 11u to 16u looking for an IR coach.
