    Again keep it simple the belly button is an area, the torso, don't carry the ball past your body therefore releasing late. Look at the BI pictures isnt the hand pretty close to the belly button? Jeez it's an 8yo. Start going into palm up at 9 release at 6 and her eyes will glaze over.

    DD was playing well above her age at 13 and saw no need to extra effort into pitching as she was blowing the ball by batters her own age.     At 8yo got to keep it simple. Probably release of ball to late, or bending forward at release or a little of both. Tell her to keep her "nose behind her toes " don't bend over her plant foot, and to release the ball at her belly button.

    ∆ exactly. My DD 2 seam FB cuts down and in about 8 out of 10 times the other two kinda of crop. It was taught to her by a USA men's pitcher who suggested that she try it after putting the finishing touches on her curve one day.
