Thoughts on Easton Ghost catchers mitt

Update: I went ahead and got the Ghost. It is very nice and is working out great for me. I was really torn between this and the All Star. We have turned into an Easton family though. Got a great deal on it at Dicks for $89.

Thoughts on Easton Ghost catchers mitt

Any bucket dads try the Easton Ghost catchers mitt? Just wondering if it will be big enough for me. I can't find anywhere local to try it on.

Drill to keep front shoulder open

Chris, thanks for the response. What is this drill that you mention? " One could be push-to-plant with only up to slingshot arm movements."

Drill to keep front shoulder open

So my 10U daughter made the switch to IR a little over a year ago. She is doing really well. Her biggest issue right now is that she is pulling her front shoulder closed and it causes her pitch to go way left of the plate. Any suggestions on drills she can work on? The other issue she has is...

HE vs. IR apprehensive of switching 9yr. old

I forgot to add that when she is doing lock it in, 9 o'clock, and 12 o'clock she is money. It is just when she goes into full pitch that the release is an issue.

HE vs. IR apprehensive of switching 9yr. old

Anybody have any advice on drills to help with release point? She is doing pretty well with the transition to IR , however she is having a lot of high balls. Normally most everything is across the plate, but they are high balls. Sometimes over the catchers head. She is starting to get...

8 Yr Old Pitching Form Analysis Request

I am new to all this as well, but I know when my daughter stays on the powerline her accuracy is much better.

HE vs. IR apprehensive of switching 9yr. old

Played up in first 10U tourney this weekend. She pitched 2 innings and had a much better outing. Ended up striking out 4-5 batters. She still has a lot of work to do, but this weekend definitely helped her confidence. Thanks to everyone for the words of encouragement. I am certain we made...

Wow, young pitchers need to deal with a lot!

My daughter pitched in her first 10U scrimmage this week. She still plays 8U coach pitch. It was a rough day for her. It does not help that I am one of the assistant coaches. I decided to let the Head Coach go out to talk to her to try to calm her down. I asked him to pull her out after her...

HE vs. IR apprehensive of switching 9yr. old

So it has been 3 weeks and my daughter is doing pretty good. She is struggling with the brush contact. Instructor wants her hand to brush the thigh. The videos of IR pitchers I have watched looks more like forearm brushes the thigh. Any recommendations on drills to help with this? She is...

HE vs. IR apprehensive of switching 9yr. old

My daughter is 9 and will hopefully start pitching in 10U this fall. She has done lessons the last 1.5 yrs. and has been taught hello elbow, did not know what it was called until doing research on IR. Due to scheduling issues we can't go to her instructor anymore. We recently started with a...

    2016 Easton FS3 vs 2016 Xeno plus

I just saw the FS3 torq for $100. Might have to buy it and if she does not like the handle it can be taped. The Xeno is probably a better bat though for the same price used.

    2016 Easton FS3 vs 2016 Xeno plus

Looking to get my 8yr. old daughter a 18oz. composite bat. This is her first year of travel. Just wondering what peoples thoughts are between these 2 bats. Some of the research I have done, sounds like the FS3 is more of an entry level bat. I was also looking at the 2016 FS3 Torq, but it...
