Great game!! I had to finish it this morning though. I just love Lee's spirit. She's dancing and cheering - you can feel her energy. I don't know how much she has left in the tank but I have a feeling she's like Paige Parker was for OU last year and will carry them the entire post season.- catchermama

We have been so surprised over the last few years of how badly girls are taught to catch. We have been on teams where girls don't even have a mitt, have knee savers behind their knee caps, have no idea how to frame a pitch, etc. And it's not just the coaches - parents don't care about...- catchermama

Do you prefer to rotate subs or sit girls for an entire game
THIS ^^^ I can only speak from a parenting perspective, but this is the reason we decided to leave our last team. We went to an out of town tournament and DD played 3 innings out of 6 games. Take a break any way you can get it! Would we care this much (or be as surprised) if these were football or basketball players?? Monday brag 3-16-17
Finally out of hitting slump! DD hit great all weekend, had some good plays in RF and even got a compliment from coach on her framing. Given the rough fall season she had, it was a weekend her confidence really needed!- catchermama

That's a great point. Softball does teach them to work through adversity. Before this season, my DD had never really struggled to play. She actually doesn't struggle much at anything - one of those kids that gets A's without studying. This very tough season of softball she's having right now...- catchermama

DD has outgrown 15 inch chest protector
Just got DD Pro Motion chest protector on ebay. And there were several other sites with a good amount of Wilson gear. I think top of belt is where chest protector should end.- catchermama

The value of great outfielders
That's a great article. My DD gets the best of both worlds as a catcher and outfielder, but sometimes I'm more impressed with her plays as an outfielder! Catchers Gear - replacement time (again)
Following...DD needs some new equipment also. She has outgrown her chest protector which I think is Easton, but she doesn't like it. She has Schutt leg guards and they don't seem to twist around as much as others she's had. Got the Wilson Pro Shock helmet back when it was on sale and she likes it.- catchermama
