I was wondering if any of your daughter's have done indoor longtoss...(see the Wasserman link below.) I'm thinking ahead to the cold days and early sunsets here in the northeast. I'm curious how you would approach this in say a basement or garage with a tarp setup on a bownet. After a full arm...
You're explanation really helps...I really appreciate you taking the time to post that explanation! I just watched a video of my DD and she is doing the whole "blowing through release".
I saw what you are referring to but when I tried it myself (IR) there is no decerlation unless I physically try stopping my arm...I don't see how IR alone cause the arm to decelerate to almost a stop.
I was re-reading this thread....the following from Boardmember in the first thread leads me to my question below:
"In order for this transfer to occur, the upper arm must be caused to decelerate to almost a stop when it reaches the stable vertical position close to the side, and then continue...
I was wondering what everyone thinks about throwing BP to DD overhand as opposed to underhand. Is it good, bad, or indifferent? I can't throw with any speed or accuracy underhand even moving in closer...overhand I can spot it accuratley and at a much greater velocity. This would only be extra...
So I just finished this epic thread. I was wondering if 2.5 years later anyone has anything else add...tips/tricks/how your DD is currently throwing her 2 seam. I'm gonna give the 2 seam a try with my daughter this week.

I find this thread to be very fascinating!
Would you please be able to explain how to achieve the axis of rotation on the various picture you've posted? Grip and release? I'm understanding the smooth/rough side but I can't seem to wrap my head around how to actually grip and release the...

I'm in the market to get my daughter a new bat, she needs to go up an inch to a 32in. I was wondering if anyone has any first hand experience with either of these bats, I would greatly appreciate any feedback.
Thanks
STRIKE3...if you Google Eric Cressey's blog, he has some great information on pitching (mainly baseball but a lot of good stuff on shoulder health, etc. that's relevant to softball). Also, Nancy Newell has some really good softball information on her blog in regards to strength training.
For those of you that use the string drill for dropball practice...how far in front of the plate would you position the string?
Thanks
