location, spin, speed and having good pitch calling...the right high quality pitch getting where it needs to go at the right time.
if you have the above skills/pitch calling at 12u you can dominate with 2 pitches. Need to be working on a third and possibly fourth for the future. that's it. You...
...umpires that understand that where the ball enters or leaves the strike zone dictates balls or strikes (zone has depth, it's not thin) and they don't rely on the catchers frame. A non-swinging strike or ball can and should be called before the catcher even has the ball. Where she catches the...
Thinking they will see 50+ pretty consistently by 12u. A short season or two away. Point is that once they start to see 50 it's not going to get any easier. Hitters need tee work and live pitching. Can't improve without it.
Long term plan needs to be to work on hitting. The reality is that as time goes on the girls will be looking at 50+ from every pitcher they face not just one girl they occasionally face.

Not a troll. No reason to be, nothing to gain from it and no time for it either.
Thanks to everyone who had helpful advise and insights.
Hope to talk more with you on other softball topics...
They feed off of each other.
They push off the pitchers plate. Really push. Spikes digging in push.
They step up and out landing on a strong leg. Like a wall.
One of them "grunts" it's kinda silly sounding.
They have good arm speed. Really good.
But most of all...they both really "snap" the...
That's hilarious! Love that movie! You know what was neat...every girl on the team at some point in time made her laugh or told her it was okay or just walked by and patted her shoulder...I love it when they stick together like that..
Your right... i guess i had her all grown up in my head. Just when you think you learned something about this game you get schooled again. Thank you very much.
