Getting more movement on fastball
This sounds like a 2 seam fastball (grip with the seams instead of across). It is thrown the same as a 4 seam fastball, but finger pressure on the release will determine the direction of the spin/cut. My daughter throws this instead of a 4 seamer at the college level because of the late movement.- BC13

Hip protection for pitchers
My daughter has a tendency to clip the top of her hip bone with her elbow occasionally. She is closing her hips to soon and aside from the obvious remedy is there anything out there that pitchers can wear to protect or cushion the hip from this impact?- BC13
