If it were me i'd look for the prospect camps were your kid has the chance to compete against other players. I also think some of these multi coach/school camps give you the most bang for your buck. Also learned during my DD's recruiting process that some schools won't consider you if you don't...
We've played in Alliance and PGFs and honestly great competition in both. Our org loves how the Alliance format mimics the college playoff structure. Not going to lie the umps were a little rough in Indy last summer. Definitely pluses and minuses to both.
Yeah not sure if it's trainable either. Want to make a run at it though. Probably look to have a bigger hoop about 2 feet +. Thinking proximity rather than precision. So yeah more of a reference thing. Thinking 2/3 the distance from rubber to plate. Might start halfway back if break doesn't end...
Found something that I think will work. Sharing in case anyone else is looking for something similar. Basically it's a dog agility hoop. Kiddo is going to work on tunneling her rise and change(down pitch) through a hoop setup at 15-20ft from the plate.
Looking for ideas on setting up something to tunnel pitches through. Hoola hoop rig or something of the sorts. Anyone ever use anything like that? Just want something for the visualization aspect.
Cue that worked for my kid was imagine dumping a glass of water out in front (ie 3 o'clock and thumb down) and imagine dumping a glass of water out behind you (ie 9 o'clock and thumb down). Then we used the finish at the glove side hip to bring it down or finish glove side shoulder to bring it...
She started showing symptoms at 13.
I've read articles where it reared it's ugly head at the collegiate level and I've read about it showing at my DD's age.
We're coming up on a year now and I'd say she's still not 100% but close. Stamina and consistency are what's missing at this point. She...
Put the device on a stand or something at the halfway distance. That seemed to work the best for me. I absolutely hated the device. The newer RevFire also sucked. I still have the original revfire and it's the best to date. Just my 2 cents.
My daughter had this condition. It's more than likely thoracic outlet syndrome. It's a very serious condition that could end up causing blood clots and/or nerve damage if not treated. The short and skinny of it is a nerve, vein, and artery pass through the thoracic outlet and that bundle is...
My daughter has this same issue. Her hand wasn't coming through the ball. Once she started getting her hand through the release she gained speed and straightened up. My daughter was peeling inside the ball at release. Think palm up at 9 and palm down at 4 or 5. Probably an exaggeration cue but...
