Every time I fire up the machine, I feel like maybe I shouldn't have my kid swinging her LXT. Is that hard on the bat? Or should I get an old cheap bat from the junk rack in the dugout?

I think it should be ok as long as you are not using cold regular softballs or machine pitch balls that have picked up a bunch of moisture (eg making them heavier). I am pretty sure DD broke a few bats from using cold regular softballs during winter BP a few years back. We make sure to keep the BP balls in the house now..

Posters on here say get a cheper similar bat, me not so much. DD always used her game bat without any Issues. She also did not hit off a machine very often though.

Most bat company warranty claims can be denied if it's is determined you used a bat with a pitching machine.
Aren't you the guy who said 529's have no paper trail?? :ROFLMAO: There would be no way for them to determine that unless you tell them..

Well, dimpled balls do leave a different mark on the bat, so they can leave evidence a bat inspector could use. I guess you could always use a Magic Eraser to hide the evidence.

Yes you could... ;)

My kid uses a BP bat but it is the same bat as her game bat as I spent less on the two bats then many spend on 1..
My daughters hate when I clean their bats with a ME. They say I'm washing away evidence of hits, but I say it's only mishits that leaves evidence.

When we use the machine, we use the Anderson Rocketech. That bat can hit bricks and not break.

There are plenty of machines using regulation softballs that are safe to swing at...BUT, of course they will still beat up a composite hammering it over and over.
