Get the hands going back when the stride is initiated. Not before. Timing and adjustability issues will always be present otherwise. The sequence needs the correct timing mechanism to be stretched in order and launched wo leaks.

Miggy’s first move is to pick his front foot up. His body prepares to pick his front foot up. OP’s dd has been taught to “load up”. He syncs the upper with the lower. His hand action matches his stride action. One continuous movement, on time. Not separated movements (load then stride)

She wasn’t taught to load prior to front foot up that is just what she does. We have been working on hands back/foot forward in same motion we just aren’t there yet. We have not worked on that as much as other parts of the swing. It looks like that needs to be our next objective though.

Gotcha! Here’s a simple tee drill from Coach Mike. Move out slowly, balanced, under control. Try to continue loading the upper “some” as she moves forward. Pause once she lands on her front toe with heel up. When she launches her swing after the pause tell her to feel like her head goes backwards. Don’t want any more forward movement once the swing launches

As far as hands to far back behind the back foot I understand I think. More like keep the weight back without leaning twisting so far to the back side? As far as set the lower body first can you elaborate.
Yes, if you lean backwards and twist/coil the shoulders/upper torso it takes the hands to far behind the back foot.

This can be all be a cause from not setting the lowerbody.

The lean rearward seems to be preventing the lower from getting set. Keep the rear knee inside the rear foot. Load/stride against the backside, not through it

I will add that fixing the rearward weight will help her sequence as well. Her hands and back knee move forward at the same time. Good sequence has the back knee being pulled forward by the hip/core rotation while the upper (hands) are still resisting the swing. Good sequence creates good stretch and a whipped barrel

What does she look like when you throw a ball to her? Kids can tend to exaggerate things when hitting off a tee (not that that is ok) I have a feeling she wouldn’t look like that last still if she was hitting a moving ball..

Yes, this can just be a tee swing. Meaning they counter rotate way to much. Very common.
