Imo that’s not from contact point training. That’s a snapping the front leg thing. A force compensation. Poor pelvis direction/rotation. The front leg should remain supple (pelvis rotating around) and snap fully once direction is inline. It’s a secret to ‘plane’ or depth in the swing.

It’s Obvious your correct and I’m ok with a bent front leg. The picture of Haley , the ball is on its way in to the plate not exiting the bat. So, contact point has something to to with in this hit. Thanks for the input.

I have lived this very problem. Getting to the front side still loaded cured it. @efastball suggests a bent front leg. I like it as the result. Getting it to cooperate was a timing/leverage thing. I think this vid applies.

I'm not usually a 'bat-as-solution' guy but I will say this. With my younger daughter I kept her in a short, light bat longer than most of her peers. Now she was a little thing to begin with but very athletic and twitchy. I'm talking 28 inch at 10u and no rush to get longer or heavier. It helped her learn how to use her hands and not prematurely start dragging around something too long/heavy for her.
I'm down with this, barrel control. Never swing a bat that's too long, gonna cause problems.

in trying to have a consistent posture to launch the barrel from. We started using the back muscles to help load and direct the forearm and barrel. Here are two set of swings without and with using the back muscles more effectively.

So one of the things I’ve learned in hitting, if you take something away like using the arm less, you have to replace it with something, like the shoulders. This is not the finished product but a work in progress.

Sharing so others might get some value from it with their student.

Did you feel like she getting "too tall" eg coming out of posture on those swings and if so what was causing it in your opinion? Or are you attributing that to her using her shoulders too much?
