Can you tell me which coaches so my DD and I don’t waste our time contacting them?
If your daughter wants to dance her way to home plate of course is up to her. It's probably best for everybody to get a realistic view of the players before anyone makes a decision whats a good college fit.

It would be interesting to know if that would be a deal-breaker for your daughter if the college she wanted to go to said would like to make an offer but we would like to say we don't want you dancing before you get to the plate.
Save those celebrations for off the field. Interesting question is that a deal-breaker for anybody else?

Hmmm wonder if a college player would transfer portal because of that 🤔

I think what you have to be careful of is looking like a player thinks the team or team success is all about her.

Its splitting hairs but some teams celebrate more than others and they celebrate together. That can be cool and fun. Sometimes you see a kid that expects the team to celebrate her.

Its hard to say without seeing it but maybe the coaches thought the dancing player was taunting not celebrating.

I would be willing to bet the coaches were also thinking “she won’t be half as happy when she sees college pitching and Samantha Slytherin is going to put one in her ear hole if she acts like that against U of Hogwarts”.

Rad, I wonder if you asked the coaches about the particular players social media if that would have anything to do with why they were turned off by the behavior. Some of the Twitter stuff I see is a turnoff for me. “I’m awesome. I love me. I’m glad my team could be there to see me be me. Uncommitted 2025”.

I think that college coaches are not only looking for skills but they are also looking for players they will not hate being around six days per week, at practices, in dugouts, on buses, on airplanes and in hotel rooms for the. next. four. long. years.

If you have never been around college softball, one of the real challenges is travel and being with that same group of people from Jan 4 until late May or June all day/every day.

Good read again @Westwind !

Absolutely 100% of college coaches have spoken with
Are looking for players who will fit in with their program and players they already have on the squad.
Least problematic issues to tackle the better.

imo
Celebratory dancing before player has even crossed the plate while stalling to even get to the plate doing a little jig is poor sportsmanship.
Leave that to other people's opinions... can have your own opinion...dance a jig with your post and hit reply...
Just dont cry baby about not getting offers when/if the time comes.

I did think about if I had any deal breaker type stuff.
That is vegan campus. No meat on campus. That's a no for me. Don't tell me what I can and cannot eat. The only colleges that I know of that have that topic are private colleges.
( could be others to?)

Sooo maybe if a college wanted to make me an offer but they saw me eating a burger in between games would deter them. Don't know.😎

I did not know there was such a thing as a vegan campus!

That is mind blowing.

”Hey take that Westwind kid off the list. Her dad rolled in the parking lot in a Raptor eating a half pound cheeseburger while driving….We can’t have that associated with our program!”

So my lack of scholarship offers is due to my dancing before I post, is that what you are alluding to with this?
Dont know, lets see the dancing video...
Maybe you can add it to the black dot pop up advertising and make some money with it...

Or better yet go show Patty Gasso and see if she would like to have that on the sidelines at her games...

Heck never know could boost ratings

Leadfoot.

I test drove one because I kept my old truck so long I painted myself in a corner late last summer and had to buy a truck at pretty much the worst time ever to buy a truck.

I didn’t expect it to ride sooooo good (for a truck). It happened that a softball dad buddy of mine manages a Ford dealership and he sold me one they had ordered…

In a non-covid environment I probably just would have traded for another F-250. I had to take what I could get, and dang did that turn out fun!
