the hidden canyon is a sweet little drop point
Funny, I just Googled that model.....I actually handled one of those this weekend in S90V steel, didn't know the model, I do now! ;) Did you buy one in S30V or S90V? S90V is some fantastic steel, a super stainless steel that stays sharp forever!

S90-V

that design is just exactly what i like in a deer knife.....fixed blade, right around 3", enough backbone to split the sternum, but small enough to handle the fine work......and benchmade is a solid company, they support a lot of solid causes (public land, pro hunter stuff that i really like)

I guess it's a 50th birthday present to myself......if i'm not a dumbass, that one should get me through the rest of my deer hunting years

Then Tim, I suggest you don't be a dumbass! ;) 😆

I've only lost one knife before, my wife said I cried and b*****d like a little girl, tore the house, garage, and all of our cars apart! That one knife started me down a very expensive rabbit hole, seriously that one lost knife started it for me!

Found it four or five months later down inside of the A/C duct under my drivers seat that blows air to the back seats! My wife said she wished she had her phone on her at the time to film me dancing in the garage like an idiot!

It's a very special knife to me, to this day I've never carried it again since the day I found it! I've got 40 others to carry! ;)

When I was a kid, I hunted with an old guy that taught me to call ducks. Everybody around here could blow a duck call back then but this guy was an artist. He would do stuff like call ducks at a gas station just to show some teenage kid he could do it.

Anyway, he gave me a Gerber lock blade as a gift one year. It was a pretty snazzy knife in the early 80’s.

I carried it for years. I lost it during duck season. Made me sick.

Found it a year later on top of the duck blind. Slightly worse for wear but still serviceable.
