Dd has been swinging lxt this year with good results. She also has a ghost advanced, she was convinced her ga is a hotter bat. We did some hitting in the back yard, I am convinced the loud sound of the ghosts make the girls feel like it hits harder. We started with the lxt, good solid hits with a few bombs mixed in. She then hits the ghost advanced, much louder sound, but the hits weren’t as far as the lxt. I said that lxt is better than the ghost. She couldn’t argue, the proof was there. So I think I convinced her to sell that ghost and go for the meta. So many great bats these days!

Proof how?

Did you actually measure? Or just eye-ball it.

My DDs and I got out the radar and measured exit velocity. Plenty of room for error there too.

We did something similar. My daughter has been an LXT girl for 4-5 yrs now. We bought the ghost & GA and she likes all three, but continued to hit the LXT. Her thought was that she has better barrel control with the LXT and likes the feel.

We took them out and hit all three 10 hits. She hit the furthest & most consistent with the LXT…but that’s her go to. She’s swung the LXT about 100x more than the Easton.

Thinking about getting a Meta, but she said no. Just another LXT.

It's definitely as much about confidence as anything else. If they love a bat and it performs, no need to mess with it.

Also, girls tire after 30 swings. So often you get best results from the second bat you hit. Best to rotate them more and do the test over multiple days.

DD"s says on the truck for delivery she should have those 500 in by the weekend hahaha. Will do some exit speeds at the beginning and after its wramed up lol.

I hear ya. I hear 500 swings to break it in and think "Ok, that'll take a few days". Not sure why it scares some people off. Do they not practice at home?

Well it is very hard when your DD really likes the bat and manipulates the numbers that way haha. Meta was 2-4mph faster then her GA and LXT. She has well over 500 cuts on it now and its smashing the ball. Took her to the slowpitch field for some cuts, hit 17 of 40 out on the 250's with front toss. Hit 14-40 with her GA and 14 with her LXT. See what I mean lol. But she really likes the feel and punch so its all good.
