In the 12's watch out for HOTSHOTS PREMIER 08 and HOTSHOTS PREMIER GALLAWAY. This DD's org and those 2 are legit. Look for HOTSHOTS PREMIER 08 to be in the finals with HOTSHOTS PREMIER GALLAWAY not far behind. PREMIER played in a 14U open tournament here in Houston a month ago and won the whole thing.

DD played with about 1/3 the girls on HOTSHOTS PREMIER GALLAWAY on a her 1st 10U team. Great teams and good people, but they can roll thru a bracket.

Nice to hear of talent in 12's.
Maybe get to see them at pgf nationals in premier?
Play against teams on west coast like 12u Mercado Athletics R&R.

Yeah I knew about Hotshots Premier being good, wasn't sure about Gallaway. I am guessing the CA Batbusters teams are decent as well since they probably wouldn't be traveling all the way to OK to play if they were not...not sure. I will be happy if DD's team isn't steamrolled every game..either way it will be good for them to see that sort of competition. That said the level of competition isn't nearly as good in 12's as it is in the older ages but that is typical for National type tournaments around here.

Premier and Gallaway have the same coach. Gallaway has had the Premier team for 3 or 4 years. He started the 2nd team this year. They practice and travel together.

Our coach thought the same thing and we played this caliber of teams most of the spring. We are definitely not at that level yet. Our biggest success is that we tied Premier in a pool game once. ;)

It is a grind. There are some positives and negatives to it.

Good Luck to your DD's team.

I don't have any problem with it. As long as your goal is to play as well you can, I don't see any issues. Yeah if you are getting your butt beat week in and week out I would guess it can get old but for various reasons the competition level has been up and down (more down than up) this year so they have their fair share of wins and I think now is a good time for them to step up the level...which is why I was the one who suggested to the HC they enter this instead of some other local tournament that was going to be lousy

Always loved playing up! Lots of “A” teams who play a lot of local tournaments (within ~100 miles) also play a lot of familiar teams tourney after tourney! Gets very old!

If you don’t think you can get your butt beat…..get outside that comfort zone, travel a little farther and get into tournaments with teams you’ve never seen or heard of before, it’ll show you what you really have! It’ll also spark your girls and get them to step up!

Anna’s organization was really good about this, kept things interesting! I’m jealous of you guys, I really miss it!

Well the park they are playing at is where Marcela and I work out and is 5 minutes from our house so no travel this time  Let me just say that they better start working the fields today for next week because when we took grounders there on Monday it was horrible...LOL!!!
