That's true, but in baseball a curve goes down, slider goes sideways and they don't have a 'drop', it makes no sense to me. However, in baseball it's the spin that makes a ball move, not 'secret sauce'. Unless you're up to speed on SSW.
I was agreeing with you..(I think 😂) There is an actual screwball (with screwball spin) in baseball that nobody has thrown with any regularity since Fernando Valenzuela because it is hard on the arm. My point was that in baseball it isn’t called a screwball just because a ball moves to the arm side of the pitcher...

OK, so if it's not the spin that makes the ball move then what is it? The pitching coaches on this site really want to know so we can teach it. Dazzle us!
I'm not advocating for either way to do it. I took neither position. My post simply explained the differences. Try to note that in a person's post before you attack.

What about sinkerball pitchers? Isn't that like their "drop"? I"m asking, I truly don't know... I never played baseball.

How are you defining a drop? Spin or movement... ;)

Hmmm, unless I'm missing something (or you're trying to trick me!) a drop only has MOVEMENT because of the spin? To be fair, I haven't read all the posts on this thread, so there may be some kind of inside discussion I'm not privy too.

Discussion was about calling a softball pitch without screwball spin a screwball. I mentioned that a 2 seam fastball in baseball moves towards the pitcher's pitching hand but nobody calls that a screwball in baseball...
