Might be nit picky but this isn’t no stride - foot definitely moves forward a little - albeit not much.
That's pre stride or false stride... Tatis is just reaching is foot forward, no weight transfer happening. This is a no stride swingMight be nit picky but this isn’t no stride - foot definitely moves forward a little - albeit not much.
None really... but for some hitters timing, some hitters find it easier to sequence properly with a stride, style etc... but technically speaking, no reasonWhy stride? What's the purpose?
Are you saying he moves his foot forward and THEan shifts his weight as opposed to doing it at the same time or that he NEVER shifts his weight? Just clarifying. That's pre stride or false stride... Tatis is just reaching is foot forward, no weight transfer happening. This is a no stride swing

See the difference, hope this helps explain. Tatis's example is a false stride, he's just reaching his foot forward. Trout is coming forward with his stride, when his foot lands he launches.

Trout's stride is part of the FYB sequence.. Look at his belt buckle, is it gaining ground as he strides? When his foot lands, it's launch time. What do you mean when you say Trout is moving forward?
