It’s funny The coaches I have met that complain because my DD doesn’t have a screw ball. We played in a tournament not long ago and the opposing coach came out and shook DD hand after the game and said that was some great pitching that his girls couldn’t handle her screw ball my DD just smiled and said thank you. She has never even tried to throw a screw ball.

If anyone ever watches the game Cricket, you will see the pitchers (called Bowlers in Cricket) constantly rub the ball on their clothing to keep one side shiny and one side gets scuffed up.
Bruce Sutter did that. They made him stop.

In baseball you throw it such that the palm ends up facing away from the glove.
Correct. The big problem is unnatural pronation. In overhand pitching supination loads and pronation relieves. Arm health 101 is to get to pronation as early as possible, but not prematurely. To throw a screwball its very tough to get on the ball and get revs in pronation and is causes late pronation which isn't good at all

With the right finger pressure on the ball, I could make my drop have a cut inside to a RH batter too. It's just a slight difference in finger pressure that alters the rotation slightly. I would never want to lose the dropping action in favor of a "screw" action.

Pitching coaches have a racket. Its like a guitar teacher. When a kid climbs in the car and mom asks what did you learn today and Johnny say smoke on the water. Mom thinks its cool, so mom pays. If Johnny and his teacher do it right mom hears I learned notes A -G on a single string. Then hears the exact same thing until he masters it.

Mom doesn't want to hear a pitching coach that makes their daughter throw for accuracy and work tirelessly spotting a fastball before doing anything else

This mom does.

Oh wait.

Anyway, I've held off my DD's pitching coach from teaching her a curve for about 6 months. I want her to be amazingly sound on her fastball and change first.

But I completely agree with you. So many "fellow pitcher dads" brag to me about how their DD is learning the rise-screw, or the ultra-drop, or the cut-splitter with a lemon twist. I reply with "we're working on her change up." :|
