Call on every pitch. Yes, the wristband is littered with "Swing Away" calls. :p

We have "bunt to first" and "bunt to third" as well as "squeeze", along with many of the others listed. "Hit and Run" as well.

i like the directional bunting calls.. we always call a fake but to watch the defense. Teach hitters to read the corners and who stays home for bunts. I love a team that keeps 1B home

We don't call an offensive play # on each pitch. I'd say maybe 1/3 of the pitches we call something. Of those, many are simply hit away. We've found that when you don't call something on every pitch the defense seems to react and assume you are stealing or bunting when you do call something.

We use them for pitch calling and offense. For pitch calling the numbers change every inning, it would be difficult to pick our signs for pitching but not impossible. For offense, we have two different cards that can be used and players just have to follow the grid. We are a 12u team. I call a number every pitch, we also use hand signals.

We kind of used a hybrid; wristbands, but if I wanted a bunt to 1st base side, my left ear was coincidentally itchy. 3rd base, my right ear was itchy.

Whether you use hand signals or numbers, there are plenty of times in a game where it's obvious nothing is going on so you just bump the fists together and give a word of encouragement.

It's painful watching a softball team that calls out 3 numbers to every hitter after every pitch.
