Who has the best no stride swing? Any good videos on the no stride swing?

Personally I don’t like a no stride swing. I believe it negates power. I can understand using it at younger ages to simplify the swing.
Lauren Chamberlain the all time HR leader in college softball used a no stride swing in college. She used a wider than average stance and she had a strong lower half.
I will say she had limited success her 1st couple of years in NPF. I believe her average was around 220-250.
Last season she switched to an extreme open stance and batted I think it was 374.
Personally I prefer a neutral stance with a stride for added power.

Both no stride and stride hitters get to the same position ... power is not a factor, IMO

I disagree. There is a little something called momentum. When your moving forward into the ball with your entire body vs just your upper half more power more = more distance.
If you look at MLB for example the guys with big leg kicks or big strides they tend to be your tape measure shot guys and higher exit velo guys. Judge, Stanton, currently Bonds, Sosa, McGuire, Canseco etc... in the past.
You can have decent power with no stride but it tends to be used when on the defensive to make contact more often and put the ball in play.

Some hitters have different ways of timing the ball, they use high leg kicks, bigger moves to get FYB. If you are using high leg kick or a big move to generate a little something called momentum, then you are likely out of sequence.. ABAF, and that’s a bad thing. Some hitters find it easier to get FYB with a stride.. some no stride. But they all get to FYB prior to launch. No stride does not = all upper body... that's a really big misunderstanding right there.

For the record, Nelson Cruz has hit more HRs than anybody since 2010.... and he hits Bombs. Cruz, Wright, Emmonds, Chamberlain, Show did/does not use no stride to put the ball in play. Just because somebody has a smaller move doesn’t mean they cannot generate as much power... they all get to FYB

Not a bad way for a young one to have one thing less to work on.

I was just going to post some snark that that Chamberain kid would never hit high level pitching since she was all back all forward.

Agree with all of this. I’m hoping dd doesn’t get changed to the extreme open stride in college. Seems very prevelent.

Was looking at her setup the other day, she used to be pretty neutral/middle but is starting about 4-6” closed now. She seems to be hitting very well right now... didn’t mention it to her.

I also like no stride/wide as an occasional drill.
