My DD is an uncommitted 21'. She is on a solid team and has a coach that knows how to get girls into schools. We just started the whole recruitment thing. She has a NAIA school in the Midwest interested in her. They are going to do a virtual tour with her and have discussed scholarship amounts (in a "this is the range" kind of way).
Not sure what my questions are really . We do't want to sign too soon, but we don't want to wait too long (I'm not talking about this first school but in general). Her "dream" school is a local D2 team. EDIT to ask question... When would an uncommitted need/want to sign?
She's a catcher and a good one. Good hitter too (7-8 in 5 games in the showcase we played last weekend).
While we know she is not realistically a P5 kind of player she is a good, solid catcher and a good student (3.6 GPA. SAT's got canceled and have not been rescheduled anyplace so that's up in the air). Going into her senior year I can only see her GPA improve.
She wants to be a HS teacher and coach so just about any school would fit the bill academically. She really just wants to have the collage softball experience, get an education and then start adult-ing.
