Thanks for the clarification.

Looks like Orange County is at "Level 2" re-opening status currently.
"Little League" is specifically listed as not allowed. So I assume that also pertains to a large-scale softball tournament?

Will the County have to achieve Level 3 or Level 4 before those activities are allowed?
Thanks.

I have searched the web a few times and have come up empty-handed.

California says sports with no spectators can be played during phase 3. I assume that to be professional sports and have yet to find anything specific to youth sports.

Hopefully, PGF will send an update soon. I think all it will take is 1 organization holding a tournament before all of the others follow suit.

Nobody know! PGF wants to have National Championship and probably will. But how will teams from back east plan for it. Buy travel insurance I guess. It going to be a giant invite tourney. $$$$$$$
Everybody is hoping for this weekend for permits for fields but I doubt government can work that fast. Even if Gavin gives the greenlight, cities will have to have meetings to have meetings to discuss all possible ramifications blah blah blah. I think best case scenario is 6/20 for legal play in Orange and LA counties.

The WHO just said today that the virus does NOT spread easily from asymptomatic people so we will see if that changes any of the county health authorities opinions about youth sports reopening.

Most of the top 25 best teams either earned an invite from last year or finished top 10 last year and earned a berth. The field below that number usually doesn't make too much noise.

@corlay Thanks for the pgf update.

The tournys in calif have operated with guidelines.
Heard this
Walk in with masks on and get temperature taken. Parents all sitting in the Outfield distanced out most continued to wear masks. Only three players in the dugout. Others in bleachers. Defense does not have to wear masks but batters or Runners did.

No video! Yep apparently tournament people had to get on a few people who were going to try and video and each time the tournament people told them no.

In between Games took a little longer because they waited for everybody to clear out of the dugout and parents to move. So they could spray down the dugout before the next game & team came in. Then allowed the next set of parents to sit..

The world surfing championships that was supposed to be held the first week of August in Huntington Beach just got cancelled. Not a good sign for PGF
