Pitch calling... Wow

I've been watching some of the Proswings Power 50 streams and a few other streams today of some top 50 18u gold teams in the nation. Teams with P5 pitchers commited to big time schools.
I may be a bit naive but why are these kids throwing the same pitch over and over if it doesn't work?
I watched a PAC 12 commit yesterday pound the outside corner over and over and the batters would simply adjust and drive the ball to right. This team lost an elimination game by sticking with a curve ball over and over. A curve ball for a pac 12 commit, really?
Only 1 of 2 reasons.... either a pac 12 commit cant work all areas of the zone and move the ball up and down or the pitch caller is incompetent. Now I dont know who was calling pitches but one at bat saw 5 curves in a row to a 3-2 count. I called DD over and said watch another curve is coming. Sure enough the batter (RH) toed up the plate and took it to right for a shot off the fence.
A D1 pitcher should have the ability to work up and down in the zone.. go inside and out.
Our pitchers are taught to use opposites (left right up and down). Keep batters off balance.
Coaches..... use the whole zone... trust your pitchers.

Maybe could have been outside fastballs
Not 12u... pitchers at 18u gold dont miss by 3 feet and catcher was setting up on right side blacks.
Point is that you need to move the ball around.

The obvious answer to the scenarios given is that your DD should take their PAC 12 scholarship for scenario 1 or you need to be offering to provide your superior pitch services for scenario 2...

If the hitters are teeing off it's time to try something else. If what you're throwing is working stick with it.

My DD has her her own D1 scholarship that she worked her fingers off for.. just like yours I'm guessing....Right?
Nope I dont have excellent pitch calling skils..
Just asking why do these coaches take away 3/4 of the plate

I have seen a few of these kids around at tournaments and thet have a great arsenal of pitches! Use them!

Nope no D1 scholly for my kid. Maybe if her Dad were able to analyze pitch calling/throwing abilities after watching a few innings of some random game in June she would be able to get one but alas I am a failure in that area and hence a failure in life.

Talking about pitch calling by coaches and you bring my kid into the mix.
