Now that NCAA extended dead period to July 31st.
Edit*extended again 8-31.
No in person recruiting.
"Hey PGF are ya gonna make an adjustment to the schedule to accomodate recruitment
for the 16 & 18u divisions?"

Better not!
We have our airfare and hotels! ;)

At 18U 99% of kids are committed anyway

BT3100...Have a fun trip!
Dont think that high %.

This summer is important!
Huge pool of Juniors playing (without this summer) would basically only have this winter to showcase. Or then next summer after graduating hs.

Also the seniors who didnt commit yet....and no high school season.

Imo the in person college coach conversations with tb coaches is very valuable!
It has always been ideal to speak with them at games, as i support my students.
Something to look forward to that comes with the high cost of pgf.

with no sign of "flattening" in California COVID-19 positive case curve,
and LA County, especially, being a rampant "hot spot",
is it still realistic to think that PGF Nationals will occur, as scheduled?

Some states (mostly Northeast/New England...) are showing downward curve trend lines.
In contrast, CA is about the worst trend line of all 50 states....

PGF has offered no official guidance since May 15.

Just to share
Tournaments are already being played in calif.
And Seating inside restaurants and barber shop hair salon being open.

Perhaps things may swing one way or the other from thousands of protest supporters globbed together on the streets and other thousands going to the beach.

Who knows?!

Who knows is right! Funny (actually no so funny) when people went to the beach or protested to reopen CA they were portrayed by the media as irresponsible, uncaring spreader of the covid-19 and the protesters today are revered as "braving the pandemic." (msnbc) Very bias.
Seems to me the public has decided (finally) to open up. The stay at home people have had enough. I was at a park in LA county (no permits for fields yet) this weekend. All four fields were in use at 8 am. There was 10u freindlies with an ump. Other teams were practicing on the grass area. Raquet ball courts were all full.
If a barber shop is legally open I think we should be able to play ball.

I think most intelligent, reasonable people now understand what this was all about.
No comment but you know what I mean.

Sadly, from what I've seen over the years and it's worse than ever these days, most people are neither intelligent or reasonable.

My kids weren't playing so we went to a small, local scrimmage/tourney with maybe 10 teams (16/18U) this weekend and other than a few folks on the sidelines there wasn't much social distancing or enforcement of the "proposed" new rules happening.

PGF Nationals are scheduled to be played in Orange County. They have different stay at home orders than LA county. Whether or not the kids can play, we shall see.

Thanks for the clarification.

Looks like Orange County is at "Level 2" re-opening status currently.
"Little League" is specifically listed as not allowed. So I assume that also pertains to a large-scale softball tournament?

Will the County have to achieve Level 3 or Level 4 before those activities are allowed?
Thanks.
