I heard it. I know what it said. They said PPT is responsible for the pelvis moving up aided by the hammies and glutes. Sounds like a core movement. The hips seem to be reactive in their scenario. Mine as well.

You said you have no clue as to why pelvic tilt is important. And its not important. The torso moving is the important part.

Going from 2 to 1 here does nothing to the bat.fix-anterior-pelvic-tilt-poor-posture-250x300.jpg

Going from 1 to 2 here does quite a bit to the bat.Screenshot_20200522-003040.pngScreenshot_20200522-002946.png

Bobby, the purpose of getting into a leverage fyb hitting position is one can utilize all available resources to swing the bat "down to" Here is my poor attempt of it.. From a leveraged position attempting to rotate and or thrust the hips doesn't work.

the legs are used Bobby. There just used in the opposite direction than what you think. Your example of swinging in a chair is exactly how it works. The top half is going one way while the bottom is going the other way.

look at the top half go towards the pitcher while the bottom half goes the opposite way.

reciprocal movement creates force and direction. It’s counter rotation against itself. Like when you walk or run.

if we ‘use’ the legs as rotators. There will be no counter rotation. It would be all same side rotation. No cross body reciprocal movement.
Do you see pink elephants too?

ok BS. Whatever you say. I honestly and truly just don’t think you understand how the sequence works. How we create and store energy to deliver it into the ball via the bat. It’s gradual. It’s not a quick burst. it’s not a dead lift.

I don’t tend to want to know ‘why’. I’m more of a ‘how’ person and ‘for what’. I try things. If they make sense and a difference and match, I keep. If they don’t, I don’t. I learn a lot on here going through convos with everyone, including myself. If that makes sense. So I haven’t given much thought as to why. I am leaning more towards the system as a whole lately; Reciprocally; so imo it’s a reciprocal movement that gets maximized by the offsetting reciprocation. Sorry, not a grand answer.

This response says it all. Thanks for admitting it.

you know what I agree. The body works as 1 system to create a swing. In a certain order. It’s not the hips and the hands by themselves. It’s all works together.

folks have been trying to figure out this stuff for 100 years... The fact that you are new to the game and have all the answers doesn’t make you twitch a little bit?

Anyone else out there have all the answers? Besides BS.
