Funny thing is, the CZ's trigger pull weight is fine, at least on the spec sheet. They elect not to send in their firearms to be tested by the state. Walther has some offerings that are MA compliant, but the trigger pull on their PPQ is too light for the MA powers that be.

@ANNASDAD, that H&K won't be proper until it has a Surefire hanging off it!

The Saint is very nice. Have thought of grabbing one myself. The Springfield facility is just down the road from me. It's within a few miles of Armalite and Rock River Arms. Just across the river is Les Baer and I believe Lewis Machine and Tool is over there now. They build some spectacularly correct equipment.

Funny you say that........been Googling Surefire, Streamlight, and Olight. So you’re a fan of Surefire?

Don’t know why I’m so stuck on a 300 Blackout, big ole .30 caliber bullet! I love my 7.62 x 39, hard hitting round!

This AR pistol would be my home defense weapon, it’ll be fun figuring out what I like between subsonic & supersonic rounds.

As far as the weapon light, Streamlight is first rate and the best value. It’s what has been on my duty weapons for a really long time. But.... Surefire is the gold standard. I had one before they were approved for duty carry by my former employer. I really like the switch better. The Streamlight is a rocker switch that goes up or down. If you move it far enough it clicks to constant on. The Surefire also does that but you can also push it straight forward for intermittent on. It really worked better for me but it didn’t work with the holsters they issued.

I have an O-Light R50 flashlight. I like it at home. I don’t like where the switch is and when I tried to carry it in the case on my belt I kept accidentally turning it on and it would go into some kind of thermal lockout. Kept it from melting my case but you have to pull the battery to make it come on again. For those reasons that have nothing to do with the Valkyrie but indicate a design weakness plus the higher availability of Streamlight and Surefire holsters wouldn’t allow me to consider the Valkyrie.

I‘m funny about duty stuff. It’s gotta be really proven. Surefire, Aimpoint, ACOG, Eotech etc. The Streamlight is very good but I always wish it was a Surefire X-300, lol. That’s the kind of stuff you will probably never need but if you need it you will REALLY need it.

I don’t really have an opinion about what cartridge- they all look pretty good to me! I have lots of 5.56 ammo around so I probably wouldn’t buy anything different. I’m not sure about the AR pistols. I’d like to shoot one. Anything home defense has to have a good light on it. Probably a Surefire Scout light. I think I’d actually prefer a longer long gun but I’m a traditionalist, lol

ETA, I wish I had a need for subsonic ammo. Will never happen in my state. I’d go that route in a heartbeat if I could.
