I too was a Spyderco guy but after graduating the academy bought a ZT blade as a backup in my duty kit. Needless to say, I have moved away from Syderco. With the ZT, I like the heft, exceptional build quality, and prefer the ease and method of opening. I still carry my ZT200 daily. Maybe too large for some but this thing is a tank and has never let me down. Its like wearing a watch, you feel naked when its not with you
First off Matt, thank you very much for your service!! I'll never quit being a Spyderco fan, I love them! I stick to only made in Golden, Colorado USA models now. But I will say my eyes have been opened to this new ZT 0562, it's a bulldozer! This 0562 weighs 5.6 oz which is pretty hefty for a folder, the weird thing is this one doesn't feel heavy.......a 5.6 oz Spyderco would feel HEAVY! Weird I know, hard to describe.

I've since been looking at Chris Reeve and Hinderer models now.........it never ends!

I'll guess Sig, Beretta or Walther.
I would have leaned more towards Glock or Smith & Wesson.......but definitely a striker fired pistol. I know Matt lives in Illinois cause I sold him a glove a couple years back, don't remember where in Illinois?

On the Sig you could be right Blaine, I know it's been a lifetime ago, I used to own a Sig P220 .45 that was an Illinois Highway Patrol issued service pistol, like an idiot I sold that pistol probably 15 / 16 years ago. That's the only Sig Sauer I've ever owned.
