Post a video of her! She may be closer than you think 😉

This.
The reason people like Jenny Finch continue(d) to teach HE in spite of video evidence that that's not how they actually throw is when the motion gets sped up, the body falls into what is natural. HE is how they were taught, and how they think, but it's not what the body is actually doing. DD's body could have already figured some things out.

Thanks everyone. We live in west palm beach Florida. I will try to post a video if I can figure it out . I truly appreciate the feed back. It’s so easy to continue on the current path in which she has had success, but my gut is telling me her mechanics are wrong. I’d love for her to play in college...

I will send you a direct message. My DD is off to college next year as a pitcher and I can give you a recommendation of a very good pitching coach who teaches the right thing who isn't too far away,

I must agree with Cornbread. She is much closer than you think ;). Would she be willing to try imitating the positions of her throwing hand and glove hand to those of this pitcher?

At your next tournament, pick out a couple of local pitchers you think are pitching well and have the form you like, and ask the parents who their pitching coach is.

43 is good speed for 11, on the high side of average. Are the videos of her HE motion, or is that her attempt at the Tincher motion?

She has evolved into this “style” by me helping a bit and showing her I/R videos. As far as speed at 43 mph she is the slowest pitcher on the team, but usually starts over the others because of her accuracy and bc she has 4 pitches. The only pitcher we faced that had I/R style I did ask who the coach was and she was 3 hours away...

Take advantage of the extended downtime forced upon all of us to begin the transition. As you seem to already know, it will take time and hard work to "unlearn" much of what she's been taught and already had success with. The good news is that your daughter is still young.

I would begin by looking at the IR sticky threads here on DFP. Another thing I would highly recommend is heading to PaulyGirlFastpitch. Look at and purchase the Beginner video courses. Both things will save you a ton of time by eliminating endless YouTube searches. It is quality information from a high-level pitching coach. I would also recommend a video assessment by Rick Pauly to establish a baseline for your daughter and to get a plan for the most important things you can begin working on.

Many folks on this forum have been through it. It can be done. Just takes the right information correctly applied and hard work. Good luck.
All of the Amanda Scarborough videos are great for IR
