Heck, TM himself said the pros swing down. The issue that some people are having I guess is that he also said they didn't know HOW they were doing it even though others on here have agreed that other things need to be done in order for their swing down to turn into their game swing....Without the pros also explaining the other parts of their swing which are needed I think it is fair to say that many are unaware of the intricacies involved. I don't see why that is viewed as blasphemy by some..

Edit: and it wouldn't be so much of an issue if it wasn't TM that was saying it...They can deny that all they want, I won't believe it.

Video could be shown of TM petting a puppy and people would have issue with it.

Look he treated a lot of people on the older boards like garbage (and I am going to guess some people here on the newer avenues of social media even though they will not admit it) from what I have seen and heard so I get it. I have the advantage (typically a disadvantage) of seeing the worst in my kid's swing so somebody telling me she sucked wouldn't bother me one bit. Others have the disadvantage (an advantage in general) of being a bit more level headed about their kid so when somebody comes out and says that the kid needs to quit and take up soccer I can understand the hatred.

However like you said above, be the bigger man....

Exactly. The conversations I had with him were always civil but I witnessed quite a few that were not.

I am on record several times stating that I dont agree with some of his methods. But I also dont agree with others stooping to his level. If someone wants to prove they are better, acting just like him isnt the way to do it.
I got to be honest with you FP26, and you are one the most people I respect on here, you seem to be pretty biased towards anything to do with TM. You seem to have a reaction every time his methods are challenged, I’m just being honest.

In my eyes he is having a reaction to people behaving in a petty manner...

So would torquing the handle (Mankin THT) be swinging down?

When TM is saying swing down he is saying the barrel is accelerated downward first which to a hitter is going to feel like swinging down. Some will disagree about the manner that it is accelerated downward, but the fact remains it is accelerated downward first before moving up through the ball. Most everybody here knows what a good barrel path looks like...

Yep I could be wrong and it wouldn’t be the first time.. but that is my impression.

in regards to petty, I’m sure you guys all follow TM on Twitter, you don’t think he’s petty. You don’t think some of his content posted on here is petty. The reaction to pettiness seems to flow one way

Have you read any of my last 3 or 4 posts? I don't care if he is petty just like I don't care if @Work=wins is petty or @TDS is petty or if you are petty or if @rdbass is petty or if @FP26 is petty. All I care about is the information provided. If Jeff Frye was able to give a well constructed argument about why he thinks what TM is teaching is not good, then I would listen to it. From what I have seen, he hasn't really done that yet. Others on here have given their reasons for this and I appreciate that.

Let me put it another way. I read all kinds of papers in my field of study. I am sure some of the people writing those papers are a$@holes....
