You guessed wrong. Both were strikes and it's every pitch Bill. It's how they throw.

BI as told by the DFP posse is the forearm brushing.

My point is, pitching is not black and white. There is a lot of gray but it's hard to tell that sometimes by reading stuff here. I'm trying to help parents of younger pitchers understand that it's OK if your daughter doesn;t throw exactly how the DFP sticky threads say they should throw. Don't throw in the towel or get frustrated if she doesn't mirror what the sticky notes show freaking Rachel Garcia doing. Plenty of good pitchers out there who look nothing like what the DFP sticky notes show. Members here making blanket statements like "You have no accuracy without BI" is flat wrong IMO. My screen shots prove it.

Forearm contacting the hip is what they preach. If you don't do it you will not have good accuracy is the mantra. I've seen too many girls not do BI and still have great accuracy to believe it anymore. Won't be the first time I disagree with a guru and they won't lose any sleep over it I'm certain.

Both pitchers are brushing upper arm which IMO is enough to maintain control. If I was coaching them and they are having success I wouldn’t mess with them at all. It’s when I’m trying to build an aspiring pitcher or I have a pitcher struggling to locate, that I would weed the monkey butt out and get back to being stacked.

EVERYBODY is going to brush the upper arm against their upper body. Impossible to pitch without doing that. But that is not what BI is defined as here on DFP so we're talking apples and oranges.
