I took my daughter to try the advanced today. They didn’t have any 33/23 which is her usual size in the Asa and dual stamp ghost. She tried the 33/24 and compared to her ASA Exit speed was down 4. We then grabbed a 32/23 figuring it would same in weight and ball speed went up and was just more then her ASA.

she didn’t get to try the 33/23. Would you recommend getting the 32/23 or get a 33/23. She’s 5’9 150 and has swung a 33/23 for a year.

whst are your thoughts of the smaller bat? She does setup fairly close to the line on the batters box so I don’t think plate Coverage will be an issue.

or should we replace the dual stamp when it comes back from warranty replacement and just get another ASA?

Regardless of which bat model you buy, don’t back up and go down in size! She should swing the heaviest / largest bat she can without affecting her mechanics.

She‘s a big girl, my DD is 5’0” and 135ish, she uses a 33/23, and at this point, she’ll finish out with that size.

@ 5’9” a true balanced 34/24 sounds like a good idea! @ 5’9” a 32” bat sounds like a big ole NO!

How old is she?

She’s a big 14 year old.........well compared to my shrimp she is! If she stays with this game, you’re definitely going to be buying more bats in her future, if she’s comfortable with a 33” bat now, and has good enough plate coverage, stay with a 33” for now, she’ll definitely be moving up in bat size very soon!

32”is too short. I would go with 33” 23 2020 Ghost or Ghost Advanced.
34” is probably possible in a lighter balanced bat like CF/Prism, LXT, or Quatro Pro.
The Ghosts run very heavy but either 2020 version is a better choice than 18/19 USA/USSSA models. The Advanced is the way to go if you have that option as a replacement bat. New composite so hopefully durability is much better.

Don't buy a bat because its what they have. As AD said, I wouldn't go down either. To be honest, there is a reason 32/23 is prob
the worst selling size of any drop 9, 10, 11. Its just a size I don't think is needed too much.

I would def stay 33/23 unless she is ready for bigger. Then I would look 34/24 or 33/24 if she isn't ready for an inch and ounce
in Ghost weights.

If it feels good and is delivering the best numbers I don't see why you wouldn't go with it. I don't understand the "don't go back down" philosophy. If you find something that works better for your DD, don't be afraid to do it because it's not what everyone else does. I'll bet when she went up to a 33" she never even swung a 32 -9. The big question is which bat does she like the best. If it's the shorter -9, and the numbers back it up, go for it.

They DIDN'T have a 33/23 for her to try which is what she swings. I wouldn't go dropping down to a 32/23 without trying the size
she has been swinging just because it wasn't there. NOW, if they had a 33/23 there and she was blasting the 32/23 better,
then I would have to think about the jump she made to 33/23 in the first place and maybe that was premature. But
without hitting the 33/23, I wouldn't go down.

Makes sense now. I missed a critical bit of info. Thanks
