Hey I don't ever remember doing that to you explicitly. I mean I did let you hold Marcela's new glove for a few minutes but I considered
that a methadone of sorts. How was I supposed to know that would cause a relapse?

Good call, I do think leather causes a release of endorphins in OsDad! I'm dangling one over his head right now, it's pretty fun!

Does your DD pitch also, I ask because of the web........started to say two-piece web, but that's a one-piece web! I assume that's a custom, or a team glove with the "B" (Batesville?) where the Wilson "W" logo would be.

Being a 12", if it's a custom, what's the base model? In 12" a DW5 always comes to mind. Or.......is that a baseball or softball glove? I see there's no velcro. With that big solid slab of leather for a web, one & two-piece webs are definitely stiffer and take a little more to break in!

Great looking glove!

It is a custom fastpitch. My DD she plays SS by trade and is a plug and play player except for pitch and catch. She will finish up 1st yr 14u then highschool ball workouts start up right after. It's a Kelsey Stewart replica the 3rd baseman from the usssa pride. So the way the glove tightens as you can see in the picture the strings that are hanging you pull those to determine how tight you want the glove to be. When I made the draft of the glove I even had them soften it and it is tight. I have had it for a while still havent given it to her yet my wife wouldn't let me give it to her for xmas so have to wait till birthday and it's in feb. I also just purchased the new Easton ghost advanced so will have to hide it out. she thinks I am nuts for spending the money but they are only young once and if they are gonna play and put the work in I think rewards are only fair

Out of curiosity, what do utility players do for a glove? Is there 1 glove they can use for most positions?

Good question with really no right or wrong answer. A lot of it depends on the level of play, age, what coaches want, and what the player herself likes, taking the pitcher and catcher out of the mix here. In 16 & 18U, girls on Anna's team who played infield and outfield had two separate gloves, most did, not all the girls.

I can see a little larger glove at 3B, but I don't want to see a 12.75" or 13" glove at SS or 2B, just like I don't want to see a 11.75" glove being used in CF! But never say never!

DD is primarily a pitcher, she gets some time in the OF and the rest MI. She uses a HOH P-PRO120SB-3BW, it's 12" and has no problems in either of those positions with it.

I would think nothing bigger than a 12" maybe a 12.5 I think if they can control the glove use it but I agree I dont wanna see a super monster glove flopping around in the out field lol

The B is for Batesville but that B is the old Brooklyn Dodgers B
