What actually do you call the style that Coach Lisle teaches and why do a lot of softball coaches hate it?

Valid point. However, do we we know that he's been leaving for "greener pastures", or has needed to find a new gig because he wasn't renewed for his last one? I agree that the bouncing location every year raises an eyebrow. That said, I still agree with a lot of what he says about the swing.

He admitted he left for "greener pastures" recently when he left SC. There's a post somewhere on his facebook page about it all and how he lied to his boss at the time.

I don't mind him leaving for greener pastures but just tell the truth; college softball pays less than college baseball which pays less than professional baseball.

He's got a family to support and I think it would be hard based on what college softball coaches make.

If I ever win the lottery I'm going to pay my DD's favorite coach and trainer to start and manage a softball organization.

Heck, if I got an offer to do the same thing i'm doing now for a whole lot more money, you bet your rear I'd be gone. I'm not going to deny that lol. Most people would.

I was just commenting how I think he was reflecting on how he was looking for greener pastures and realized that he put himself out of a job before he even HAD a backup.

Do you know what happened with the White Sox gig?

Okay. So, the latest move was out of necessity, not jumping for a greener pasture. Hard to fault him for that. Props to Lisle for being public about his mistake with SC.

idk. He did leave Missouri baseball after only 4 months to move to the White Sox.

I was reading a whole thread on the white Sox forum and no one knows why he was let go but some fans think it’s cause he liked a tweet that basically said the white Sox org was trash.

It didn’t really go anywhere after that but that and possibly him clashing with coaches and players was the biggest reason why they think he was fired. But that was only 4 pages in out of an 11 page thread 😂.

Spending a while living in your car will motivate some people to become determined for personal success. I definitely agree that he has done a very good job marketing himself. Personally, I think his content is pretty solid, but it has evolved over the years that I've been following him.

I agree with the bold above. And evolution is a good thing, in my opinion. There are a lot of sources for hitting instruction out there. You can do far worse than Lisle...

Can't deny the impact he had at South Carolina. I think his teaching style and personality plays out better in softball and with female athletes....it's probably the same reason I can relate with so much of his stuff and style.
I'm a fan and if you were going to start digging into an "elite swing" it's hard to go wrong with his information.
