What actually do you call the style that Coach Lisle teaches and why do a lot of softball coaches hate it?

At the point of contact is the barrel descending (getting closer to the ground) or ascending or about level? Some like to let the ball get deep and therefore have to TTB earlier and some want to hit it more out in front and TTB later but at contact the barrel is ???

I like 60s, 70s and 80s baseball too but that is not where the game is at now. There is no such thing as the ole "two out rally , hit it up the alley". Its strike out or hit it out. Very few contact hitters make to the bigs. Fortunately for us Angel fans, we have David Fletcher who is a real throwback.

in good swings it’s level always. Adjustments can lead to less optimal. But level is what the goal is , even in today’s game.

Spending a while living in your car will motivate some people to become determined for personal success. I definitely agree that he has done a very good job marketing himself. Personally, I think his content is pretty solid, but it has evolved over the years that I've been following him.
When you more than once claim that you are all in with <insert org name here> and that you are in for the long haul, and even play the "I would not have moved my family to <insert city here> if I wasn't comitted", then next season jump at the next greener pasture it speaks to character.

I think he came to Mizzou from SC a little over a year ago. He has since moved on to the White Sox, then to Fresno State.

With Lisle if the player hits the ball well it is "the new swing" that he taught them. If they hit the ball poorly it is "your old swing". He has some good insights and very good at marketing, but he is an opportunist and is in it for what is good for him. Nothing more.

Sounds like most hitting coaches I know, lol! It’s pretty cool to see your input on this.

Side note: It reminds me how hitting coaches claim every successful player that ever took a lesson from them when the player was 11.

We could say that about many coaches.

Or jump before you even put in a full season with a team before jumping. He's gone all mea culpa on leaving SC and lying to the coach about even looking for another job all the while railing on other coaches for the same thing.

I didn’t know any of this about a Lisle at all. I just came across a video and it seemed to be pretty much what my kid is being taught, and it also seems that some coaches hate it.

Valid point. However, do we we know that he's been leaving for "greener pastures", or has needed to find a new gig because he wasn't renewed for his last one? I agree that the bouncing location every year raises an eyebrow. That said, I still agree with a lot of what he says about the swing.
