120+. She has some powerful legs if she were to engage them more...
She used a 32/21 last year, and was overswinging it a lot, so, instead of bumping up to the 32/22, I thought she was ready for the 33/23.

I'm just not sure she trusts herself at the higher power. She doesn't adjust her trigger, so she swings early, then goes back to less power for sure contact. It is at least partially a confidence thing, but also just needs more reps.
Let me ask you this I notice she’s swinging a 2020 PC. Is she getting a lot of negative feedback/sting on mishits? That’s a knock on the PC I have read on several threads/reviews.
I think in a perfect world the 32/22 or 33/22 would be sticks of choice.
I would use 33/23 for tee work to build-up her strength and bat speed.
You could probably get away with 33/23 in a Demarini.
I have a bat that would definitely increase her bat speed.

I'll say that it gives honest feedback. But really, I'm not sure it is much different from most other bats once you get out of the SS. She used an older Easton Mako as a cage bat the other day, and had several "shake the feedback out of her hands" moments. I'll also say that she is starting to understand what the feedback means. So, not sure if that means that it is more than other bats or she is just getting smarter. (She doesn't get the opportunity to try other bats too often.) I kind of like seeing her understand that she missed the ball instead of blaming the bat for not a lot of pop over 100% of the barrel, which I do see from other kids.

Thought about going to the 33/22 PC, but at the time, I'm not sure I saw any of them even on the Mizuno site. They may have been there and I missed them, but was also considering as she is getting stronger and pitching is getting faster, didn't want the thinned walls being a factor for breakage.

My thinking was maybe the feedback was holding her back from really “swinging away” due to discomfort.
There are people that think they need to feel discomfort in order to realize they didn’t find the sweet spot with that swing.
I’m not one of those people. You can tell by where the ball travels if you got jammed or hit one off the end cap. No need to add pain to the equation. Especially with young players who are already sensitive to being corrected on pretty much everything they do. I don’t want to associate pain with hitting.

Pretty close to a year ago, we posted a swing eval request and received a LOT of good advice from many of you! It was ALL appreciated, and we tried to incorporate it as much as possible. So here we are a year later with yet another new Mizuno PC (33/23) with special thanks to @CoreSoftball20 again! She loves the bat even more than last year's, and is really getting to understand and learn from the feedback it gives her.

She is still pushing a bit, but not nearly as bad as last year. She is leaving her stride open still (stepping in the bucket a little), but not a ton (she has now heard this from me and a D1 coach, so it is starting to actually get corrected. And still trying to get a bit more scap load. (As someone mentioned last year, she looks like she just needs to hit harder.)

Edit: Forgot to mention that they are pitching her whiffles.

Please offer up any ideas for improvements, and any drills you think might help!

Thanks for the feedback @clemenslee1. I have been trying to get her lower half more into the swing. Maybe this video will help her understand a bit more!

To me she has good hand path! Good Job there.

It's been so quiet, I forgot to look back here. Is it wrong that I keep expecting a good, stern lecture from FFS on something that we completely overlooked?

She definitely does NOT shy away from the feedback! She shakes it off, realizes that she mis-hit, then goes back and tries again. Her best medicine is a solid hit on the next swing.

While she hasn't tried every bat out there, but of the 2019s she tried (Ghost, LXT, and one of Demarinis) in a demo cage last year (while on vaca, because we have nothing like that around here), she still loves her PC!

FFS has been banned from DFP for a while.

The first thing I see is an arm-powered swing disconnected from her torso. I would like to see her pull back into her scap and hold that tension as the torso gets rotated.

Learning about using a hand pivot point will also help her...

Couple things at toe touch it does look like she has a lean back versus more balanced athletic stance and also has her hands are in really close, others disagree on separation but even the people on the opposite end of the spectrum probably would agree with your hands at least being just at or behind your back shoulder, your DD actually had her hands between the back of her head and inside shoulder so about at her collar bone.

Also as others have said she looks very passive maybe it's just because it whiffle balls?

Finally she does still have the "pushy knob to" type action going on; start working on turning the barrel the video recommendation above is good her is another one that explains what we mean.

Agree that she is still pushing a bit but it is really hard not to push if you are not creating much stretch in the core. I would work on that first and then see where she is at with regards barrel path.
