Rawlings Heart of the Hide?

My DD is due for a new glove.
Has used a Rawlings Liberty Advanced the last few years, held up ok.
She's looking at the Rawlings Heart of the Hide? Any thoughts on that leather? She's a pitcher and an outie primarily. Will be a freshman in hs next fall.

I've handled a few Nokona gloves, very nice. Their A series with a closed web is $65 more, though. She likes having a velcro strap.

HOH is a great leather. Top of the line really. But, if she likes the velcro strap you might be limited in the Ralwings line up. Have you thought about A2000's?

I think she's looked at those, will have to check with her. She also likes a closed web.

I saw that Bradley has custom models for around the same price as a stock HOH.
Might have to reach out to them.

Might want to take a look at Vinci also - top notch leather and I guarantee you wont find better leather for my price point 98% of the time out there. (Hey I can't control clearance sales ! )

Unfortunately not - I’m in NY - but not anywhere near Mass

Where in NY? I am in the Husdon Valley, near Bear Mountain. It will be time for a real glove in the next year or so and I won't buy a glove without my DD trying it on. She is quite ....... particular.

A real HoH is top notch. A lot of the retail ones are made of “dual-core” leather. It’s not of the same quality as their true HoH. We just got my daughter one we built using their custom glove builder. It’s easily the highest quality glove I’ve ever held right on down to the stitching. Glove is stiff as a brick!
