Hoping to get some honest feedback. I'm getting her a batting coach but not until next summer before 14u. Thanks in advance..

Front leg is a little straight at landing, she does firm up at contact, just very little knee flexion before straightening up.

She is also staying back, weight shift isn't happening with the hips/core moving out. She just reaches with the stride leg.

Looks pretty good to me. I would beware of any batting coach that want to change to much.

Both are true and both are related to one another. In other words she has little flexion because she is staying back.

How does she hit now?

12u hasn't been a problem. She hits for average and power. She's already 5'7" so her strength might be helping things along. Just trying to prepare for the 14u girls next year with proper technique.

I would like to see a live pitching shot, she seems hunched over a little and that might be because she is just looking down at the ball on the tee. I always say I don't like diagnosing off the tee especially poor swings because I'm not sure that is the live swing. In this case however let's hope she is transferring most of this to the batter box looks pretty good.

I like the position and toe touch minus the bending over, from the angle and lighting it's hard to tell whats going on with the back elbow but everything seems OK...my biggest critique is this is a very rotational swing, I see very little if any linear movement,it's not squish the bug but it is pretty close to it. She has more power in there, pick three or four of your favorite hitters and look at their back foot and contact...it will bear almost no weight at all and you will see a lot actually off the ground or just tip of the toe barely touching as it slides forward....I'd really like to do a side by side four or five frame shot with her but would need better lighting and angle.

Will be interesting to see what others pick out but I would really be in the no wholesale changes needed just polish but as always with tee swings as good as this looks reserving final judgement until I a live swing.

Agree with what’s been said already! Need to feel the belly button advance forward some. Continue to control the stride with the back leg and continue the good scap load she already has. Ideally we stride to a 50-50 balance at toe touch (60-40 rear leg to front leg is good enough). She stays behind the ball well now currently due to keeping weight back during stride so that may be something to watch if you decide to get her moving more forward in her stride. Also, when I look for good sequence I watch to see that the back knee advances first against a resisted upper body. Her back knee and hands advance at the same time indicating a one piece swing. It’s all the result of a lack of linear momentum during her stride. All in All your DD has a very good swing

Just a tip: Have her look at an imaginary pitcher instead of staring at the ball the whole time. Post some swings with a moving ball if you can.
You want her staring at the ball until contact/swing. Too many girls pull off the ball too early and cheat themselves. Make contact follow through and then worry about where the ball went.

So when you hit off of a pitcher, before you swing, you are staring at the point of contact the whole time? Interesting...

I like her swing. She has decent load and moves through the ball pretty well. Always minor tweaks to be made but her mechanics are sound. I like the way she stays on the ball through contact.
