After seeing some info on internal rotation pitching. What do I have to do to Get my daughter started. Right now she is a hello elbow pitcher.

Find a pitching coach that knows what internal rotation is I have failed to find one in my area. Serch for Tincher pitching program in your area. Worst case senerio read all you can from stickies for pitching and watch videos and get started yourself. Hopefully you can find a coach.

Start small. Way my DD started was to learn backwards. Start with the lock it in drill from 9 o'clock, after a few day go to 12 o'clock. Heck 3 years later we still start every practice with a basic 9 o'clock lock it in drill.

100% start here. When my DD switched, this is where it all made sense. After 9 months of IR, yesterday we spent 30 minutes in the yard just going thru the lock it in progression over and over at DD's request. She said she needed it (BTW, she's 11). If you can get this down, the rest will be easier, but not easy. Nothing about it is easy. The DD also watched the slow mo video of Amanda Scarborough a million times on YouTube. It helped her to see what she was supposed to be doing.

It's an ongoing process, but well worth the effort. Good Luck!

Can’t argue with anything mentioned above.

For me , “IR in the classroom” sticky was huge. Been through that many times - over 3 years into journey with my DD and still find myself going back to review it

I think an important part is getting COMPLETE buy-in from your DD. Show her the Amanda Scarborough video and have her study it closely on how the ball is released. Have her pull up slow motion or pictures of her favorite pitchers and look closely on how they are releasing the ball. Compare all of this to what she has been previously taught with HE instruction and with a slow motion video of her own release. She will get it and in an instant know that she needs to do what it takes to make it happen. They are smart and can be very intuitive once you point them in the right direction and clear all the noise from previous instruction. After that the drills on this site are a big help and then it comes down to repetition.

That's the problem. Nobody in my small community is doing this type of pitching.

I was the PC for my DD in a fairly large metropolitan because I could not find anything but old school methods. She always did well playing on the best teams in the area but she had flaws that eventually caught up to her at 14’s. I noticed a few posters with DD around the same age that said eventually you need to find a PC.

She goes to a Tincher coach now and it really is the exact same things taught here except with a baseball pitcher twist of a focus on glove work. The progression has been steady and the biggest thing is having a better structure of drills and approach to get the consistency she needs. Only good things to say about how they teach pitching!!
