Would this be a good Catchers Mitt for 10 year old?

Looking for a catchers mitt for my DD. She is 4'6" and 75 lbs. Usually I would get a Bradley glove as she loves the gloves she has from them, but they don't have any fastpitch catchers mitts. Can baseball catchers mitts be used in fastpitch or is the construction significantly different?

Found this one on sale. Anyone familiar with this glove?

Budget is $100-150.

BB catchers mitt will have smaller pocket than a fastpitch one. this points out the dilemma in FP mitts, ball is bigger, hands generally smaller.

how fast are the pitchers she is catching, that will determine a lot of it. for ease of squeezing, DDs first mitt, Mizuno prospect, was nice intro, easy to squeeze, but not a lot of padding, when she started to catch faster pitching (high 40s I would say), we had to get her an inner glove, and got a AS CMW3000 to start breaking in (took a couple of months), AS CMW3000 allows her to catch without issues into low 60s (this was during pitching lesson, clocked by the instructor), no inner glove needed. she also now is completely comfortable with it receiving throws and putting tag on (until fully broken in, was a bit hard to squeeze, so ball would come lose now and then).

One more vote for the Mizuno as a beginner's mitt. It's easy to handle and comes pretty soft right out of the box. Once the pitches start to get into the mid 40's, something tougher will be required. If you think your DD will be a catcher for the long haul, invest in a good glove over the offseason and take advantage of the time to really break it in.

I got DD a Vinci during the winter of her second year of 10U, and it did take months of beating that thing up to get it game ready. She had a tough time with it at first, but by mid-May it was comfy and protected her hand from the one pitcher who was hitting 50 mph at 10U.

I don't think any of our pitchers are cracking 40 mph. We don't have much of an off season here in SE Texas. Maybe 1 to 1.5 months over the Christmas break. The Prospect is inexpensive and if it is game ready out of the box, then maybe that is the way to go and try to get her a better one to start breaking in after a few games to make sure she really likes being a catcher.

Another vote for the Miz Prospect as a first mitt. That said, expect to replace it pretty soon if she sticks with playing catcher.

Are you set on new or would you consider lightly used? I have a Mizuno Franchise 34” that would be perfect for what your looking for.

She is small for her age. I'm afraid a 34" is going to be too big.

It’s light and maneuverable. I started with a 33” Easton which was a darn good glove for the price but the Mizuno has thinner padding and accepts the ball a little easier.
I’m trying to remember the height and weight of my daughters when they used it. Maybe 5’ 120lbs.

Can you send me some pics? How much do you want for it?
