Good thing they didn't throw it low..If she fouls it straight back that's a good sign to me. Says she's timed the pitch very well. Now she just has to adjust a little higher. This past weekend my DD was a perfect example. First at bat fouled the pitch straight back. Next pitch higher into the fence. Next pitch mile high pop up for an out. Next at bat WAY over the OF fence. She was adjusting every swing working her way up the ball.

Low is where she'll destroy a pitch. I always said she should have taken up golf. Now high... Let's hope the ump calls them low in the zone.Good thing they didn't throw it low..
I'd just remind her to see her fouling the ball straight back as a good thing. She's on time with the pitcher. Now she just has to recognize that she needs to mentally try to hit the ball higher up. We gotta remember, the difference between a smoking line drive and a pop up is an inch. Literally, an inch. It's weird. Normally 10 every weekend and has the lowest batting average on the team but cranks it when she connects
Sounds like she may be dropping her hands. She needs to bring her hands straight to the ball. Fouling the ball straight back is a good thing means she’s right on the pitch just off slightly with elevation. We have a girl that plays 14U and has a beautiful swing. IMO, she swings around the ball a little most of the time. She looks like she is right on a pile of pitches and fouls them straight back. Why?
