Oh, so you mean the laws if physics were followed? Specifically, "for every action...."
Maybe you could provide an example of when the laws of physics aren't followed so I can see what an unnatural, unhealthy swing looks like.
What he is saying is that the barrel action you are seeing there by Ted is only due to a reaction to a pulling core and that he isn't actively applying any torque on the handle.

You are on the right track with this photo. At contact her left arm is pinned to her side. Her left elbow needs to work up, this will allow her hands to go down towards the ball path. Look at Manny's left elbow in post #46, it is flexed and it goes down initially but then as the shoulders continue to rotate the elbow goes up. This will put her bat on a flatter path to the ball.
You're right, the front elbow need to get to the height of the shoulders and the bat will swing under the hands.

I understand. What I want to point out is that when the hands accelerate in a direction, the barrel of the bat accelerates in the opposite direction. Torque is applied to the bat by Teacherman's accelerating his hands first forward and then accelerating them rearward (negative acceleration). The barrel is placed very forward and then when he moves his hands forward, the barrel moves rearward. Ted does the same thing. I don't think the hands alone can generate the power to create that movement and acceleration. Try this, don't let your hands move as a unit laterally or vertically and then see if you can generate that acceleration merely by swapping their location. You can create the movement, but not the degree of acceleration. Everything affects everything.
