Sorry this is a bit late, but I purchased a couple cheaper jump and sprint analyzer and updated the firmware and they work just fine. Significant savings. I got mine on eBay at around ~$25, but i see them on Amazon right now for $45 plus shipping. You will need to purchase the bat handle holder separate which i got on the blast website for around $10.

I have blast. We use mostly for speed. You can put multible bats on it so its good for comparing bats and finding out which bat (size) is best. I dont really undetstand blast factor number and its all over the place. In other words, DD will make a nice powerful swing and get a lower score than when she rolls over one.

Yeah I'm happy with working on bat speed. With something to measure actual bat speed you can work on pushing the envelope and find a happy medium.

I see there's an app or add on for measuring the ball trajectory and exit velocity. That might be cool if it works.

I think that is the Blast Vision, which is a separate app. I have't found a way to use them at the same time yet. i also don't believe it uses the sensor at all. Just a camera based tool. I think it was $10 to buy and use with full functionality. They may have updated and allowed them to be used together by now, not sure.

Oh they might not work together at the same time? That would be ideal if they did work together. I just assumed they did work together.

Yes I think it is Blast Vision.

Yeah. That was my assumption too. I thought Vision used the sensor but it doesn’t. And the Blast app doesn’t seem to sync with Vision and if you are using the camera for Vision the sensor will still work offline and you can download, but I cannot find a way to use the Vision video for Blast and vice versa. Seems like they should be able to add that functionality to Blast app. Maybe on the next update.

If you work offline, you theoretically can match Vision data to the swing after you download. It might not show the data the same time, but you could match the metrics. Have you downloaded the swings and matched them to the Vision metrics?

Are you saying this is the same product, just different packaging? What was needed for a firmware update - just connect the sprint analyzer with the softball app, and hit "update"?

That is exactly what I am saying. If i recall correctly, i believe that was the update process as well. The app told me it needed an update and did it without my needing to find it. I think it was at the initialization process. I forget exactly how it worked, but i put my phone camera to the QR code on the back of the sensor and it went from there.
