DD is crushed. Her hitting coach who she has seen since she started playing TB just let his players know he is moving effective immediately. I have no idea how to even look for someone to replace him. He has been thru so many ups and downs with her - he has been the constant thru team changes, slumps, and starting HS. DD has become very confident at the plate and is a great little hitter now. She is not a HR hitter, but rather is very much on her way to becoming a true triple threat. She can bunt, slap and hit away. She does such a great job of reading the defense and keeping them on their toes. All thanks to her hitting coach. I don't know of any other coaches in the area who even work with slappers...this is going to be a bumpy ride.

Why not ask departing coach for a referral?

Or plan on going to see him a couple of times per year. We have girls on our team that go to the next state over for hitting lessons. Daughter has one friend who flies from NY to Alabama for lessons - obviously not very often, but still.

Yeah - I've asked him. Hoping he has some suggestions!

He is moving about half way across the country...but he will be by the beach...so maybe it would be a good excuse a couple times a year! LOL!

He has always been good about helping DD when I send him videos during a tourney...hoping he will still be willing to do that too!
