I have to say, it's definitely a beautiful glove! Craftsmanship is top notch, materials just as impressive, and the presentation is one of a kind. Plus it has the one time Recondtioning Program where you can send it in once in its lifetime and they repair, recondition, and bring the glove back to new....fantastic! I originally was looking to purchase a glove for softball practice, but fell into this and couldn't pass it up. I won't be using it for softball at 11.75 inches (and measures about a quarter inch smaller) but it will make its rotation with my other gloves on the baseball field.

Bought one for DD a couple of years ago. Really nice glove. She tried it a few times a 2B, definitely too small for softball.

On a related note, I have one of these for sale if anyone is interested.

Very nice Matt, how’s that leather feel?

I wish Mizuno offered that glove in a true 12” / 12.25” with a I-web in their old cork tan color.

If I had to knock anything on that glove..........it’d be the triple X’s at the base of the web, it’s just personal preference, I think the double X’s just look cleaner / better! Has nothing to do with the performance, in fact I’m sure if it was on my hand I wouldn’t think a thing about it!

Congratulations Matt!

Glad you started a thread with this, I will have pics of my 12.75 this weekend. My partner is too inept at
doing any nice pictures

You are right Matt...they are pricey...but I do think the whole one time complete restoration is worth it.
You are basically getting two of the best gloves in the world for that price.

You know, the triple X doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would. I do agree that the double X looks much more natural, as that is what both Rawlings and Wilson both do, but with this glove there are too many other things that stand out well, that I look right past the odd triple x lacing.

The complete restoration is really cool to have. I don't know that I will ever get to the point where my glove needs it, as I rotate it with about four other gloves, but at some point it is nice to know that you can send it in and have it returned to its natural beauty,

I did notice the Mizuno seems to play flatter, which I like as a middle infielder, than my Pro Preferred and A2000 of the same size. Definitely plays as a smaller glove and the leather feels very different, much softer. I think the only thing I prefer from a feel standpoint, is my Pro Preferred palm lining. Its just buttery smooth.

Yeah, after about 3 or 4 minutes of owning it, I'm sure I'd never think about that web lacing again, I would think it's purely a Mizuno cosmetic thing!

As far as playing flatter, hey it's a true Japanese baseball glove, they are flatter and more shallow!

Does your Pro Preferred have the Pittard's lining? My Pro504 and ProKB17, and a Small Batch #26 that's coming in tomorrow all have Horween shell leather for the liner, I love them, I think that's just the new standard for me! Definitely makes the overall glove stiffer and no need for a palm pad which none of these 3 gloves have. Can't wait to post a few pics of the Small Batch, been looking forward to this one!

If I ever build a custom black HOH, I think this just convinced me to go black lace and all Vegas Gold stitching.

The Pro Preferred does have the Pittards lining. Hard to tell in the photo because the Mizuno is all black, but the lining is nice, but just a different feel. As you can see, the A2000 isn't in the same ball park.14383
