Congrats and hope she finds a way to pass on all she has learned and gone through to maybe another little girl trying out for her first TB team someday!

Congratulations on your DD's accomplishments, but most importantly that she had fun while growing up.

I helped coach her teammate Steph Lombardo in HS and she was just a great kid with talent. I was screaming at the TV Saturday night when she hit the walk off. It's nice to see good things happen to good people.

WOW!! Thank for sharing. I would have enjoyed following her journey all along. Congrats to your DD on a wonderful softball career, and I hope her future is equally successful.
Thanks Eric!

As I mentioned in my first post, I generally prefer to watch from the sidelines. My DD’s story contradicts the norm in so many ways. She was on the same travel team with the same coach from 8 years old until she left for college. She was a four year starter on a very good high school team with a very good coach. She was recruited to a college that she never even wrote a letter or email to prior to being seen by them. She committed fairly early, and yet had an incredible overall experience in college. These are things I don’t read about often on here so, who knows, maybe it was worth sharing.

As a catcher’s dad, I have been particularly interested in your DD’s journey. The rules are a little different now but things should be getting real interesting for Maddie as she looks towards her softball future. I still love talking softball, so if you ever want to chat just shoot me a PM.

What a great story! Thank you for sharing. I can't wait to share with my DD. She's headed to HS next fall. Her team is currently #2 in the State and we just watched them win round 2 of state playoffs.....

Hopefully we have many more years, if she desires, but reading your story brings home that the journey comes to an end at some point (we've been through it once already with DS). Got me choked up there.....

Congrats on a wonderful career...and we just finished watching a replay of Wisconsin/OK!!

Congratulations to your daughter on a great career and best of luck moving forward. I was really pulling for her team to bounce OKC. Interesting hearing her story a bit, seldom are the paths the same which makes it hard sometimes on folks looking for a formula.

IMO, because her journey was different than the common story is what makes it especially valuable to a site like this. There are lots of different paths to the same destination. It can be helpful to people to see that.

Thanks for your kind words about Maddie. :)
