Saw 2 dingers in 2 at-bats in a row by a kid on my DD's team using a PXT so it's hardly the crap that some want to make it out to be. Would be interested to see some exit velo comparisons done with it versus other bats. Likely wouldn't be that much different.

I would agree. The issue I believe is the long break in period and the fact LS didn’t market it well enough. This is not a bat for an average hitter.
I have seen many small/average size girls that just hit ground balls again and again. Get a Xeno or an LXT please!!!
The main factor I believe is the high price. Your average Dad who wants the best for his daughter but doesn’t do the research. He just figures the most expensive composite bat on the market must be the best. In this case it is not the best for most.
There do seem to be a lot of Slugger haters on this board. That tells me 1 of two things. They haven’t used a Slugger in a while or they have an ulterior motive like pushing other bat brands.
In my experience Sluggers are the best bats on the market period.
There are other note worthy bats for sure with better customer service no doubt. When push comes to shove I’m grabbing a Slugger and stepping up to the plate with confidence!!!

The PXT is a good bat. It just takes a long time to break in and is heavy and end loaded.
It’s very durable. It doesn’t have the same sound as the LXT & Xeno but when you square it up it sounds real nice.
The issue with the bat is marketing. The bat is designed for strong power hitters not your average batters. You have to have elite strength and bat speed to reach bat’s full potential.
The price was too high and it’s a niche market for a select few players.
I applaud LS for trying to grab the elite hitter market. Just not sure such a market exists.

One of my two dd’s that play like heavy end load so I looked into PXT when it came out. Her favorite bat of all time was Rocketflex. Same set up but I’m sure you already know that, right?

If PXT is a double helping of awesome, I find it strange that “bigger and stronger elite power hitters” in D1 programs don’t swing it then. Say someone like Abby Cheek for example. Or maybe one of hundreds of hitters in college that are swinging Xeno or LXT instead. Or are they not elite enough to swing this superbat?

I’m not a slugger hater. If you look at my profile pic, there are several present. Had two dd’s that swung Xeno for 3-4 years. Core shipped LS bats to me in six pack boxes when we did group buys. We would still be using them if they didn’t find something she liked better. Trust me, buying from him is awesome, but if he didn’t have the product my dd wanted, I would not be buying from him.

Several times a rep from a large online company came on our beloved DFP and started posting unintelligent bat marketing drivel and were quickly called out. The membership here is extremely knowledgeable. They are polite to a point. But don’t think people won’t disagree when they smell b.s.

The PXT was definitely not a well-received bat. I think I’ve seen like 1 around here in tournaments.

There is still a pretty solid LS following in our area. I see a lot more LXT’s now than even Xenos, but there are still a lot of Xenos.

The Ghost is REALLY popular here, but every single person we know with one has either had to replace it or it’s currently cracked.

I asked my DD if she wanted to try the 2020 Ghost or even the RXT, but she thinks she wants to stick with a Xeno this year. She has really enjoyed her X19.

I will say this: We live in an instant gratification society currently. If you can get a bat that comes hot out of the wrapper vs a bat that needs 1,000 reps on it before it opens up what do you think most people would choose?
Also we now have new bats out like every six months that claim to be “game changers”.
I had my daughter hit on Thursday after her game. The field is 200’ down the lines and 210’ to center.
We used 18 ASA Ghost & 17, 18, & 19 Xeno’s.
My girl is 13 just under 5’ 2” and weighs 130lbs. She swings -9 endloaded through drop 11 balanced depending on quality of opposing pitchers. In this instance we used all drop 10’s except for 17 Xeno which is drop 11. So all 32” drop 10. She hit two homers apiece to left center and straight away center with Ghost & 18 Xeno. The Ghost is two yrs old and the 18 Xeno is new. Several hits on the fence on the fly and several one hoppers to the fence.
The Ghost & Xeno are equal performance bats in my experience. The Ghost is slightly endloaded so I believe this leads to a few more mishits. The Xeno being balanced is more consistent through the zone. They both sound great!!!
I have noticed the 17 & 18 Xeno have more of that grit paper on them than the 19 version does. I believe this helps hold the ball a little longer.
I have no problems with durability on either Ghost or Xeno. Sluggers do tend to chip rather easily but doesn’t seem to effect performance at all.
We have the Rawlings Quatro 2018 which we use for BP and that bat is a tank. Much less scarring than Sluggers just doesn’t have that satisfying Slugger sound. Also endloaded and too heavy for most games.

My daughter’s Xeno hasn’t chipped like some others I’ve seen. We do keep it in her bag unless it’s out for practice or games. And she definitely uses it, in addition to 2-3 of her teammates. It’s about 8-9 months old and still looks decent. Minus a cleat mark or two and a scuffed endcap. One thing I’ve always appreciated about Sluggers is that for the most part, they do seem fairly durable. Sure, I’ve seen some broken ones here and there, but not widespread. Even the knob on her X19 is in pretty good shape (her earlier Sluggers would lose the paint quickly).

One thing I’d say is that she doesn’t seem to have quite as much pop with the X19 Xeno. She hit a very solid homer last year with a day old DeMarini CFX -11. 220+ feet over Center.
She didn’t have any HR this HS season, but did have double digit doubles and 3 triples. So we still had her hitting to the fences, just none over. However, she is very comfortable with this bat and for the first time in a long time, she isn’t seeking out the next big thing or thinking she needs something different. As a Dad I’m tempted to think there’s a bat out there that could give her that extra 3-5 feet. She had multiple hits that were juuust short of going over. But she seems content with sticking to the Xeno. It’s hard to know which way to go, because she’s really in the groove this year.

I hear what your saying. We want the latest & greatest for our kids.
Stick with what works!!!
Much of bat performance is feel and confidence.
My twin girls bring this point home to me.
My advanced daughter does better with the 18 Xeno. She never liked the 17 Xeno and the 19 Xeno isn’t as consistent. Her game bats are 19 Anderson Rocketech, 18 Ghost, 18 Xeno, & 17 drop 11 Stealth Flex for hard throwers. BP bats are 18 PXT, & 18 Quatro
My “late bloomer” daughter is bigger than her sister taller & heavier but not as strong.
Her go to bat was 17 Xeno. Recently switched to 17 LXT. Currently 19 Xeno is her main bat. She has never hit an over the fence home run. Warning track power to this point. Line drive hitter.
I bought the 18 Xeno for her and 19 for sis based on color. Same bat supposedly just in their favorite colors. We wound-up trading based on performance and confidence.
Her game bats are 19 Xeno, 17, LXT, 17 Xeno for fast pitchers & a 16 Worth Legit 33” drop 12.5 for bunting. BP bats are 18 PXT & 18 Stealth Flex.
So for me I really want to start demoing bats before we buy them.
I did this with the Rocketech. I found a rep sent me two bats free of charge and let us use them for a couple of weeks.
Just hard to find reps willing to demo bats.

Based on their ghetto marketing video I hope it is a re-branded PXT that fails miserably! Sorry but that video is a disgrace and whoever gave the go ahead to send it out to market it should be shot and fired. Sorry I am not looking to buy a bat for a young girl based on a video of teens acting like deplorable human beings with every other word an F bomb. Seriously?

That aside, the bat looks to be their answer to the Ghost-Prism-Power Carbon.

Sounds like they were bleeping out the name of the bat, not dropping the F-bomb. Sure, it’s suggestive, but they weren’t cursing.

Not sure how old your DD is, but from Middle School and up, I’ve heard language and discussion from softball players that would peel the paint off the walls.

They’re not all saints.

Just got word from Bat salesman about LS RXT. It’s not a rebadging of the PXT. He said kind of a blend of Xeno & LXT with a floating disc inside and a spring in connection joint. Have been testing for a month and thumbs-up so far.

It's not a superbat but it isn't the $29.99 elongated tin can that some would have you believe. It's serviceable. I would say it's lack of popularity was greatly influenced by it's higher price tag. Most folks didn't see the need to spend the extra $50 over the LXT or $100 over the Xeno. It seems as though $349 is the ceiling on what most will pay for a bat these days.
